The best way to arrive at the Ranch Jelov Klanac is by car. By Car: From Zagreb: - Drive for about 40 kilometres until you reach Karlovac on the motorway. - From Karlovac turn to Plitvice Lakes, and after 70 kilometres you will reach Rakovica. - In Rakovica there is a restaurant named Rendulić, that you will find by looking on the right side of the main road. - In front of the restaurant, turn right, and after 2.5 kilometres you will find the ranch. From the Split or Zadar: -Drive until you reach the town of Udbina. - Do not enter the town itself, only pass nearby and again, follow the sign for Plitvice lakes. - After 70 kilometres in Rakovica, turn left. By plane: the nearest airport is in the Croatian capital Zagreb, 120 km away. From there you can reach us by bus or by car, along the main road D1, going south and passing through the towns Karlovac,Slunj and Rakovica. From the Adriatic Coast you can get here along a main road from Rijeka, Senj, Otocac, passing by the Plitvice Lakes and then there are 8 more km to Grabovac. Zadar is 150 km away, and before reaching us, you pass through Gracac, Korenica and Plitvice. From Zadar it is possible to use the highway A1 to the exit Gornja Ploca, and then there are 60 more km along the main road passing by Udbina, Korenica, Plitvice . When you come to the crossroads at Grabovac from the direction Zagreb you turn left, and then take the third turn left, and drive on for about 300 metres. If you arrive to the crossroads at Grabovac from the south, turn right, and then take the third turn to the left and drive on for about 300 metres.

We serve breakfast in the house. All the food is produce of Croatia: marmalade, butter, cheese, ham, honey, eggs (soft boiled, hard boiled, scrambled), corn flakes, 2 types of bread and toast. The following beverages are served for breakfast: coffee, tea, milk, hot chocolate and orange juice. That's all for just EUR 7 per person per day.

Area information

The village Grabovac is only 8 km away from the National Park Plitvice Lakes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The visiting area of the National Park has 16 beautiful lakes, all connected to each other with numerous beautiful waterfalls. The lakes are on different levels, and the waterfalls are cascading between them over travertine barriers. The lakes are visited on foot, visitors walk along footpaths and wooden bridges. There are electric boats on the biggest lake. Other activities and places of interest in the area are Barac's caves, Rastoke waterfalls, white water rafting and horseback riding, several excellent restaurants, swimming on the River Korana.

The best way to arrange your visit is to plan it out ahead according to the time you have available. Our hotels and facilities are at your disposal should you wish to stay longer than a day and experience the beauty of the lakes at its fullest. Park is opened from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visitors with dogs: dogs are allowed only on a leash. The entrance ticket is a contribution for permanent protection and maintenance of Plitvice Lakes National Park. It is valid for one day, and in case of a longer stay, it can be extended. The entrance fee includes the use of shuttle bus and electric boat within the chosen tour, visitor's insurance and tax.
