Pefkohori is at the edge of Kassandra's peninsula (105 km from Thessaloniki) at the same position of the ancient town of Aegae or Pimenis. In1805 the village was burned down by pirates and was then given the name Kapsohora. After Macedonia's liberation, it became a Greek Community and in 1964 was renamed to Community of Pefkohori. At the beautiful main square you will find local restaurants and stores and will be able to meet the village's friendly and hospitable inhabitants. When crossing the backstreets you will come across the exquisite gardens of the houses with blooming lemon-trees (the main feature of the village), blooming jasmines and a large variety of roses.
